Nitefreak presents HiNDE at 99 Scott, introducing a Zimbabwe born event series and cultural platform that has expanded from local roots into an international circuit. Launched in 2021 in response to limited opportunities for artists, HiNDE began as a space for DJs and producers in Bulawayo to connect and perform. It has since grown into a wider platform with events in Harare, a debut at Queen of Hearts, and appearances across Miami Music Week, Mauritius, and the United States. The project reflects Nitefreak’s own trajectory. Active in production since 2009, he has built a catalog that bridges Afro house with melodic and percussive elements, earning support from Black Coffee, Shimza, Diplo, and Keinemusik. His releases have appeared on Deep Root Records, Spinnin Deep, Higher Ground, and Insomniac, alongside collaborations with artists such as Francis Mercier, Magic System, and Amadou and Mariam. His music has reached millions of listeners and charted on Beatport, while also receiving airplay on BBC Radio 1 and other international platforms. His track Bolingo Nanga extended beyond club spaces through its inclusion in the Francis Ngannou documentary. HiNDE operates as more than a series of events, functioning as a platform that introduces artists and connects scenes across regions. Its growth has remained tied to its origins, with continued engagement in Zimbabwe alongside its expansion abroad, including community initiatives in Bulawayo that support local organizations. Set at 99 Scott, this event places that vision within a Brooklyn context, with Nitefreak delivering an extended set shaped by his releases, collaborations, and the broader sound connected to HiNDE.
