How do you find the area of work you’ll still care about a decade in? What does it actually take to make Partner at a Big Four firm? Wafa Jafri is a Partner at KPMG who has built her career across government, industry and Big Four. She advised the Secretary of State for Energy, led corporate strategy at one of Europe’s largest energy companies, and then joined KPMG to build their energy transition practice from scratch. She now advises boards, investors and governments on the commercial and strategic decisions behind the energy transition, and sits on the board of the Aldersgate Group shaping UK climate policy. In this fireside chat, Wafa will speak candidly about: - The partner track - what it actually looks like, and what it costs - How to identify a sector you’ll care about long-term, and build real expertise within it - Navigating a senior career in consulting as a woman of colour Whatever career you go into, the question of where to specialise and how to become genuinely expert in something you care about is just as important as how to get in in the first place. Don’t miss it!
