Anacondaz are heading out on an international tour in support of their large-scale album Night with an Astrakhan Guy. Night with an Astrakhan Guy is the band’s first release after a long four-year break and their eighth full-length album in a sixteen-year creative career. Anacondaz have prepared seventeen tracks whose sound at times moves away from the familiar “Pauzern Rap” style and confidently evolves, on sharp turns, into true “Pauzern Rock.” On the new album, the musicians take the eclectic and multi-genre arrangements that have always been part of the band’s identity to the next level, while staying true to strong content and preserving the sharpness of their trademark lyrics. Themes of complicated love and relationships intertwine with reflection and self-analysis, while snapshots of contemporary reality are paired with bitter humor. Through the melancholy and emotional tension, bright notes of hope break through again and again — the positive “Focus on the Best,” the optimistic “Smile,” and the encouraging “Yura, We’ll Catch Up on Everything.” In line with the album’s title and as a tribute to their hometown of Astrakhan, Anacondaz have also created unique merchandise, not only decorated with touching “made in Astrakhan” tags, but fully produced with love in their hometown.
