We caught up with DJ Strawberry from his home in Berlin ahead of our next night in May. If you're not familiar with his work, take a second to read up & listen to some of his tracks and mixes. He's been one of our favourite producers for years, pushing at the edges of footwork, dubby sounds and inspired heavily by the minimal Japanese footwork movement. Having never seen him DJ before (despite narrowly missing a set at OHM in Berlin, long story), it's been a real ambition to bring him over. The fact he's bringing a new live/hybrid show he's been working on makes it even more exciting for us. A serious head, he's researched the globalisation of Chicago Footwork as part of his life in music academia. A supremely talented musician, producer and DJ, and one of the nicest people in music to boot. Our night at Vespers on 9 May is one of the best and most boundary pushing line ups we've booked so far.
