Fresh from performing at the Great Escape, Faroese Music Export (FMX) and Iceland Music are proud to present four of the Nordic's most exciting up-and-coming artists. Join us on Tuesday May 19th at London's Colours for an evening of eclectic music, from folk-pop to hip-hop, that showcases the breadth and depth of creativity flowing from these islands. Marianna Winter blends alternative pop and indie pop-rock with intimate, confessional songwriting — think warm, lo-fi textures meeting polished melodies. Her sound draws comparisons to SZA and Kehlani, sitting somewhere between R&B-tinged indie and atmospheric pop. Marius DC is a rapper and producer, moving through themes of existentialism, heartbreak, and classic hip-hop braggadocio. His style is sharp and self-assured, rooted in traditional hip-hop craft but filtered through the unique perspective of growing up in the Faroes. Spacestation make dark, angular guitar-driven rock — a collision of shoegaze intensity, Krautrock rhythms, and 60s psychedelia. Their sound is hypnotic and feedback-drenched, with a nihilistic edge and an inventive use of alternate tunings that sets them apart from straightforward rock acts. Elín Hall crafts hauntingly fantastical folk-pop — ethereal, melodic, and deeply atmospheric. Her Icelandic-language work has a cinematic quality that mirrors her acting career, while her upcoming English-language album, slated for later in 2026, should pave the way for the wider international recognition her music deserves.
