\*This is an 18+ event, physical & scannable ID required on entry. On Friday 22nd May, Hong Kong-born guitarist, composer, and arranger Tjoe Man Cheung takes over the Ninety One stage for a soulful night of live jazz ft. Isobella Burnham on bass, Jerome Johnson on drums and some very special guests. FREE entry + we'll be pouring £5 pints & £6 Guinness all day & night! ABOUT TJOE MAN CHEUNG Tjoe Man Cheung (often referred to simply as Tjoe) is known for his work in the jazz and pop scenes in both Hong Kong and the United Kingdom. Also the founder of the jazz collective NTBM (Not-To-Be-Missed). While his jazz work is avant-garde, his UK "sideman" career evolved into something far more sophisticated than his pop days in Hong Kong. Joining the band for soul sensation Elmiene, Tjoe became a key architect of a sound that defined a new era of British R&B. This partnership took him from intimate London clubs to a global stage, most notably performing for NPR’s Tiny Desk in late 2024. He is one of the few artists successfully navigating the London Jazz scene (NTBM, Queenstown collective, PYJAEN, Brown Penny) while simultaneously performing at the highest levels of the international soul circuit. Book your table here: Doors 6pm with live music from 7pm.
