On Thursday 21st May the Oxford Fashion Society are excited to host Franco-British writer, cultural commentator and fashion influencer Camille Charrière. With over 1.4 million followers, Camille’s candid reflections on mental health, fertility and modern relationships have redefined what it means to be an influential voice in fashion, fusing personal honesty with cultural insight. A former television presenter (Paris Mode, Canal +), Camille sits on the LVMH jury, the Advisory Board of Kering CRAFT and is a constant front-row presence at fashion’s most influential shows. Her writing has appeared in Elle UK, British Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, The Sunday Times Style, i-D, the Evening Standard, Grazia and Les Echos. Her debut book, Ashamed – a memoir in essays – will be published by 4th Estate (Harper Collins) in June 2026. The discussion will centre around Camille’s early career, pivoting from investment banking to fashion blogging, how she’s cultivated an enduring brand on her social media platforms and how this has since led to her writing deeply personal biographical essays on mental health and her fertility struggles.
