One of the most exciting young saxophonists on the London scene, Joe Mackley is joined by a rhythm section of the city’s top players for a night of thrilling original music. Saxophone- Joe Mackley Piano- Chris Eldred Bass- Adam King Drums- Dave Ingamells Joe Mackley graduated from the Royal College of Music in 2022 with a first class honours degree in joint principle jazz and classical saxophone. Since then he has fully immersed himself in the London jazz scene, studying with some of the top saxophonists in the UK including Leo Richardson, Graeme Blevins and Will Vinson. With his quartet Joe has played sold out shows at Hampstead Jazz Club and The Spice of Life and has appeared at Pizza Express, Ronnie Scott’s and Alfie’s as part of other projects. Quickly becoming a sought after saxophonist, his playing brings together influences from Johnny Griffin, John Coltrane, Joe Henderson and Joshua Redman.
