Lorenz Okello (He/They) is a record producer, songwriter, musician, sound designer, and artist with a vast and varied palate of musical tastes. They bring an eccentric and refined approach to every project, letting their diverse influences flow. Trusted by collaborators and the wider London music scene, Lorenz has worked with notable artists and collectives such as Steam Down, Invariance, Sofia Grant, Rarelyalways, and Nayana AB. They also co-founded The Oracle Collective, a creative agency and subculture, with Anjelo Dison and Kaidi Akinnibi. By dividing their time between the studio and stage, Lorenz brings together all the symbiotic stages of music-making. This holistic perspective fuels their solo work, which serves as a liberating journey into crafting sonic worlds in real-time. Using only synths, a drum machine, and a piano, they explore the boundless possibilities of building ideas from scratch on the spot. From the intimate energy of Colours Hoxton to the prestigious Jazz Re:freshed, Lorenz’s solo sets have earned a reputation for being profoundly cinematic. By weaving raw synthesis with live piano, they take the audience on an evocative journey—one that feels both deeply personal and grand in scale.
