Rooted in the vibrant traditions of gospel and jazz, Lucy-Anne is a vivid storyteller, an intuitive improviser, and a magnetic performer. Her powerful interpretations and effortless melodic control draw listeners into something deeper—an experience that feels both personal and transcendent. Through ethereal vocal textures and rich acoustic soundscapes, she creates a musical language that is both contemporary and timeless. At just 21, Lucy-Anne has already performed at leading venues across the UK, as well as in Paris and New York. She joined NYJO as lead vocalist at just 16, before continuing her training at Birmingham Conservatoire. She went on to front the orchestra’s acclaimed 2021–22 national tour, Amy Winehouse: A Celebration of Her Life and Music, under the direction of trombonist Winston Rollins. Her performances have drawn widespread praise. Writing for London Jazz News, Lavender Sutton described Lucy-Anne as “undoubtedly the highlight of the evening… her stage presence and charisma lit up the stage… with beautiful phrasing and a deep understanding of the lyrics.” Line up: Lucy-Anne Daniels – vocals Alex Bryson – piano Lorenzo Morabito – double bass Jack Thomas – drums
