As promised after our last dance, we’re kicking back off with some killer bookings, and we start with @globalsoulradio host and devoted, and versatile selector, Lorraine King aka Dj Kingy Kingy has been on the hit list for a while now so we’re blessed to announce her with our return to the SJQ basement on 15th May! You can catch her every Sunday on Global Soul Radio @strictlyvinylsundays. This month’s poster inspiration comes from Con-Funk-Shuns’s “The Memphis Sessions” - a solid album start to finish. “You sure love to ball” was originally produced and written by Marvin Gaye, and went on to be covered by Con-Funk-Shun, Sylvia and Will Downing to name a few.
