Ahead of Vespers this Saturday, we wanted to share two mixes by DJ Strawberry (slides 1-4) and Itoa (slides 5-8) to give a small idea of what you can expect. DJ Strawberry finds a lot of inspiration in the more minimal and jazzy ends of footwork most associated with the Japanese scene, while never shying away from the heat the circle craves. 2hrs of playing across CDJs, a sampler and drum machine, his new hybrid live set is going to be unique and unmissable. Itoa has been making fast paced footwork, juke and jungle infused club tracks for over a decade, and has put out a string of brilliant releases on Exit Records. This mix for BBC 6 music shows him at his best, flying through genres at breakneck speed, 2 stepping, footworking and ass shaking in equal measure. Check links in the comments for the full mixes.
