Join us for a community rug tufting workshop and soul food dinner! Laoxa Ltd is a Tottenham-based food and arts brand founded by Lucy Ansa-Addo working at the intersection of food, art and community. Through our community events we create what we call a creative playground - immersive, hands-on experiences where people don’t just attend, but actively take part, create and connect. A key part of our Community is Legacy Rug experience - a collaborative rug tufting session where each participant creates a section of a shared piece. The final rug is professionally finished, engraved with participants’ names, and lives on as a lasting legacy within the space or community it was created in. For this event, we’ll be creating a Community Legacy Rug with the Morocco Bound community, alongside a wider creative and cultural experience. Guests can also expect a food experience from Laoxa, rooted in 4+ generations of flavourful, home-cooked recipes. Our Ghanaian soul food includes signature jollof rice, halal grilled chicken, vegan options, plantain, fresh salad and coleslaw - all prepared with care, including slow-cooked elements using cold-pressed avocado oil. Alongside this, we’ll be serving our hand-piped gluten-free cupcakes, where food meets art. Every Laoxa experience is designed to feel welcoming and interactive - a space where creativity, culture and community come together in real life. \*\* TICKETS \*\* Please select VEGAN option if you would like vegan-friendly food!
