Wayside have made their long awaited return with their second full length release titled “What Does Your Soul Look Like”. The band had decided to take things to the next level by enlisting Will Yip (Title Fight, Turnstile, Citizen) to produce the record. Daniel P Carter played the worldwide Premier for the first single “Parallax Error” on BBC Radio 1's Rock Show. After the worldwide success of the album “Shine Onto Me” in 2021, the band have amassed 4 million+ streams on Spotify, gained support and glowing reviews from Vogue, NPR Radio, Brooklyn Vegan, NME, Triple J and Alternative Press. **FLOOD Magazine quoted** *“Australia’s Wayside don’t want the emo revival to end. The duo are wistful for Title Fight’s Hyperview, Superheaven’s Jar, and Citizens Youth, determined to blur the lines between emo, shoegaze, grunge, and nu-metal. What’s definitely in these songs is movement—a feeling of free-floating, a dizzying sensation constructed vaguely with elastic riffs and airy vocals”.* Inspired by elements of indie, 90’s rock & alternative genres, Wayside draws from these influences to create and turn them into something that sounds fresh, young and exciting to a new generation of alternative music fans. For fans of, and appreciate, influences such as Citizen, Deftones and Limp Bizkit. After a run of sold out shows in Australia on release, as well as, with the likes of Movements, Softcult, Boston Manor, The Butterfly Effect and Don Broco, the band has set their sights on worldwide touring to promote ‘WDYSLL’. Be sure to get to a show.
